From manual to condition based maintenance: Predictive error detection
The Water and Wastewater Agency in Oslo Municipality (VAV) has responsibility for the operation, maintenance and renewal of the city's treatment plants, pipelines and pumping stations for both drinking water and wastewater.
Soundsensing utilizes an end-to-end system powered by machine learning to identify any anomalies within technical rooms.
In 2023, a partnership with Soundsensing reduced Oslo municipality's manual inspection rounds by 50%. This has resulted in 540 hours saved, 675kNok in reduced costs, and 4000+ km of unnecessary driving saved, equivalent to 600kg of CO2.
Oslo’s Water and Wastewater Agency has now done a permanent acquisition of Soundsensing's system. The same applies to another part of Oslo municipality: Oslobygg.
April 2024 -> Ongoing.
Norway's largest housing developer OBOS Eiendom has also joined Soundsensing’s list of happy customers. First out: Tveita Senter.
This is a permanent installation where Soundsensing supplies data on any technical deviations. For OBOS Eiendom implementing Soundsensing entails a significant reduction in external service costs and manual inspection rounds.
“We wanted a system that alerts us and gives us the opportunity to correct any errors BEFORE the tenants experience a bad indoor climate. Expected savings are NOK 70,000 per year in addition to even better customer satisfaction.”
- Espen Brodahl, Purchaser and Operations Manager OBOS Eiendom
